Anthropy promises to be a “unique gathering of leaders from all sectors, concerned as to how we move forward as a nation…a chance to re-assess what we value and what values will help create new thinking to tackle long standing challenges.” The event, founded by “serial campaigner in ethical and sustainable business” John O’Brien, will run from November 2-4 at The Eden Project in Cornwall. The Sustainability Show will feature six shopping zones with “the latest sustainable ideas in Fashion, Food, Health & Beauty, Home & Garden, Transport & Energy, Pets, and Money & Travel” as well as “inspiring talks about making the right lifestyle choices”. Production company Spindle has shared a case study about how it was able to make an ad for Greenpeace with a dramatically lowered carbon footprint using AdGreen’s carbon calculator. “We chose to use 3D animation and archive footage from Greenpeace, which helped us to keep our carbon footprint to an absolute minimum. In fact, through the whole process, from the creative development to final delivery, we produced 0.73 tonnes CO2e - that is less than one European flight for a crew member,” they say. More here
