It's good of course to see organizations and businesses weighing their carbon emissions. Are all these initiatives using science-based reduction targets? Is everyone working off the same methodology? Note*, the CEO of SBTi "judges today’s current economic model to be untenable” in achieving real zero. Meaning of course GDP growth, now rebranded "green growth." Where's the post-growth thinking and creativity? Where's the initiative that says we need to re-think how desire, aspiration, the good life are enacted in creative work. It's noticeable how culture is responding towards this collective challenge, commerce appears stuck in tired tropes of status. It feels like we're still in Ernest Dichter's world when we need a new 'strategy of desire'. Where is it?
